SWC is now recruiting for a Digital Media Coordinator to be a part of our creative team. We are a successful social media marketing agency based in DC-Maryland. The candidate must have a passion for great design, a positive attitude, and an ability to collaborate with a dedicated group of technical professionals and clients.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Digital Media Intern will support the communications team by coordinating on social media and marketing efforts, as well as graphic design, to elevate the SWC brand, maximize reach and impact in the digital space to humanize and drive advocacy efforts in support of SWC and client’s missions. They will assist with all photo and video creative needs of SWC through planning, executing, and collaborating with the Marketing. They be responsible for capturing, editing and delivering photos and videos to support SWC and client’s print and digital marketing materials.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and execute marketing materials consistent with SWC and client brand and style guidelines, including flyers, logos, artwork, social media graphics and web content.
• Create reusable graphics templates and assist with managing digital asset library
• Provide management support of social media calendar for our social channels that generates quality traffic from social platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn) to our campaigns and keeps SWC and client relevant in conversations happening on a social platforms.
• Explore new social strategies and pitch ideas that will resonate and drive engagement
• Assist with content creation and tactics that will excite and engage existing followers across our channels.
• Research and help identify digital influencers we can engage as supporters of our mission and campaigns.
• Assist in generating analytics reports that track overall performance and inform social media strategy
· Work with the SWC team and clients to promote programs, services, and special events via photos and/or videos
· Capture engaging photos and/or videos to support the creative process of marketing content for all SWC programs, service, and special events.
· Assist with maintaining a consistent identity of SWC by following the brand guidelines
· Think creatively and develop a robust photo and video library for printed and digital content
· Assist with scheduling content to be published on social media at ideal times
· Assist with monitoring the social media channels and activities
· Assist with curating social media content for events, stand-alone campaigns, and other projects
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
ACQUIRED SKILLS
As a result of working as the Photographer/Videographer Marketing Intern, the student will have the opportunity to acquire and further develop their photography and videography skills, communication, time management, attention to detail, adaptability, and customer service skills.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Current student enrolled in an accredited university, preferably majoring in marketing, communications, journalism, film, PR and advertising, design, or combination
• Social media connoisseur with strong understanding of the digital media landscape, including various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube) and social media analytics
· Proficient in photography techniques, including lighting, audio/video editing, graphic design
• Excellent design skills with a sharp attention to detail and experience in creating designs in adherence to visual branding identity guides
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
· Ability to provide photography and photo editing for social media and or website
• Excellent time management skills and project management experience in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
• Creative, collaborative, flexible and eager to learn
• Strong written communications skills and sharp attention to detail
• Available to work 15 - 20 hours per week
