As a key member of the firm’s Creative Services team, theDigital Media & Graphic Design Coordinatorwill provide a broad range of graphic design, digital media, content development, and marketing support for distribution across the firm’s print and digital channels. This position will be responsible for organizing complex information into visually organized videos, motion graphics, static design pieces, and client-facing presentations. The Digital Media & Graphic Design Coordinator reports to the Marketing & Digital Media Strategist and works collaboratively across the MarCom team as well as the various legal and administrative departments throughout the firm that serve as MarCom clients (e.g., Client Development, Talent, DE&I, Pro Bono).
The day-to-day responsibilities of the Digital Media & Graphic Design Coordinator are determined by the Creative Services request queue and priorities set within the team’s project management tool, under the supervision of the Marketing & Digital Media Strategist. When Creative Services requests are received, the Digital Media & Graphic Design Coordinator will collaborate with the team to develop strategic marketing plans, scope projects, and troubleshoot potential obstacles.
The person selected for this position must be able to meet deadlines and handle several projects simultaneously. Across all projects, the Digital Media & Graphic Design Coordinator will serve as a brand ambassador and ensure brand standards are upheld. Essential functions include:
- Use the firm’s brand identity system, including typography, photography, colors, and styles, to produce industry-leading branded materials, presentations, and templates that create production efficiencies.
- Use tools like PowerPoint, Prezi, and Canva to assist attorneys and administrative departments with designing client-facing presentations and related materials that reflect the firm’s brand and thoughtfully disseminate complex information.
- Support the Creative Services team in serving as a strategic advisor and advocate for the firm’s visual brand to stakeholders across the firm. Ensure that firm materials are consistent with the firm's visual identity system and brand guidelines. Monitor misuse and develop strategies to improve brand compliance.
- Manage design, layout, and production of print, digital, and video marketing materials for distribution at client touchpoints and across owned channels such as the Husch Blackwell website, blogs, intranet, and social media. Such projects may include infosheets, pitch materials, brochures, white papers, web graphics, event materials, advertisements, video, and animations.
Position Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience required, preferably in a marketing and/or professional services environment.
- Experience in photography, videography, and postproduction preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially copywriting and proofreading.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint required.
- Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite 5, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign required. Proficiency with After Effects and Premier a plus.
- Excellent project management skills; capable of working well under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of graphic design and design language, concepting, typography, color theory, brand management, and digital/print publishing required.
- High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree in Marketing, Communications or related area preferred.
- Experience in Canva, Prezi, and Ceros a plus.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:
State of California: $43,000 - $83,000
State of Colorado: $40,000 - $71,000
Jersey City, NJ: $47,000 - $85,000
State of New York: $40,000 - $87,000
State of Washington: $42,000 - $80,000
The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
