Job Title: Deputy Chief of Human Resources
Location: Dallas, TX
Salary Range: $180-$190K
Reports to: Interim Chief Human Resources Officer
The Deputy Chief of Human Resource will serve as a strategic partner working alongside the interim CHRO, while supporting employees in their day-to-day human resources needs. This critical role will be a highly visible leader in all dimensions of the employment relationship and the HR practices that support job satisfaction and encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion. The leader must demonstrate high levels of competency and effectively exhibit leadership skills including interpersonal abilities, critical thinking, problem-solving, and conflict resolution. The role will be a results-driven leader, and player-coach champion who is in alignment with the Client's mission, vision, and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as strategic business partner to management teams within business units and specialty groups by providing counsel on procedure and policy interpretation, engagement and retention strategies, and conflict resolution.
• Develop and implement compensation and reward/recognition programs, proactively assessing and identifying talent and development needs and driving and/or delivering of appropriate programs that emphasize high performance, quality, and continuous improvement.
• Plan, lead, and build upon HR framework to help optimize processes and tools landscape to provide a phenomenal experience for all employees and managers.
• Partner collaboratively within a shared services model to support multiple stakeholders.
• Optimize the HR function by conducting periodic review and analyses to determine HR operational effectiveness.
• Participate in the development and execution of strategic planning within the Client by partnering with interim CHRO and senior leadership to ensure initiatives pertaining to human capital management are aligned with business objectives.
• Coach management and their teams on effective leadership, teamwork, communication, development, and emotional intelligence.
• Provide guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits globally.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 10+ years of HR leadership experience in talent management, compensation, employee recognition, performance management, DE&I, and employee relations
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline
- Deep HR expertise that enables strategic planning and implementation, relationship management, and creative problem solving
- Experience working within ERP systems, preferably Workday
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities, with a high level of integrity and professionalism
- Valid driver’s license required for off-site travel
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred
- MBA and/or Higher Education experience preferred
- 3-5 years of executive HR experience
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail leveraging effective organizational skills
- Exceptional project and process management skills with a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality results in a mission driven environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous process improvement
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership to effectively identify, plan, and deliver best-in-class HR results
