My name is AJ Forsythe and I'm the Founder / Chief Chicken Tender at Coop! We're an Austin TX based tech company on a mission to democratize chickens + build the largest decentralized food production network. It's insanely fun to work on and we have a shot at building a huge business in the connected urban farming space. We’re 2 months away from entering production and are seeing a bunch of pre-orders - It's a super exciting time and are seeing directional product market fit which I'm thrilled about.

I’m looking for my right hand person to help me/us with both business and personal projects. This would be a EA / PA hybrid role, with high likelihood for Chief of Staff as we scale. As we’re getting closer to launch I’ve been finding myself with needing more and more hours in the day and another thought partner / project manager on the team. I’ve had fantastic assistants before at my last company and I’m excited to find the right person to work alongside!

We’re a tight-knit team of 6 people with 15+ years of experience working together. We’ve been through Y Combinator, started and scaled multinational million-dollar businesses together, taking them from idea to acquisition by a Fortune 50 company. We’re gritty and passionate without taking ourselves too seriously - and we’re here to build something really exciting that helps people reconnect with their food and the planet.

Also this really isn’t a traditional CoS / EA role, I look at it as we’re a small growing team and you would be one of us working on a ton a cool projects on day 1. This would be a really fun EA role if that stands out to you.

Location: This would be an on-site role - Coop is based on Lake Travis in Volente TX (40 min from downtown + next to Cedar Park). There’s 3 of us working out here but the full team is semi-remote and also spends time in Dallas, TX.

Also I would be fine with a part time or full time role for this, ideally FT!

Business

• Press tour logistics when it comes time to do media circuits
• Help Paul (on Coop team) with managing our social
• Organize coop swag / merch / event supplies
• Make car rental reservations / flights
• Assist marketing team in capturing content as needed / edit / catalog
• Route service requests / support service team as needed
• General office / house re-stocking as needed
• Make new office scrapbook with pics I have
• Teach our whackass millennial head of marketing how to edit content (Jordan my cofounder wrote that…)
• Support merch / inventory when time comes
• Help coordinate and be in meetings when helpful
• General admin for marketing ops
• Event planning / prep / logistics (swag, vendors, moving coops around logistics)
• Come to events with us to talk about Coop!

Personal

• Run to tractor supply, costco, etc - Groceries for team (We’re super easy to shop for etc)
• List and ship stuff on Mercari / send stuff to TheRealReal 😂
• Help put together survival kits I make and sell a few times a year (www.lf-go.com)
• Make pizza dough and freeze it
• Research where to get alpacas and find a mini zebu cow to adopt
• Pickup / drop-off skydiving rig at drop zone
• Feed / water chickens when I’m traveling / sometimes when I’m not - You get free eggs!
• Research and plan Brazil trip to quartz crystal mine
• Quote installing a Cargo net that holds 10 people in my house
• Research find and order Firetruck glass for my firetruck
