Met Council is America’s largest Jewish charity dedicated to serving the needy. We fight poverty through comprehensive social services and by treating each client with compassion, integrity, and respect. Our ten different departments are staffed by experts who help over 305,000 clients each year and advocate on behalf of all needy New Yorkers. Our services include 100% affordable housing at 21 locations, family violence program, Holocaust survivor assistance, geriatric social work, crisis intervention and the largest free kosher food distribution program in the world. Our network of 101 food pantries, affordable housing sites, and JCCs provide services directly in neighborhoods across New York City.
Position Summary:
The Data Specialist will work to support the management of AWARDS, Met Council’s agency and network-wide database for tracking client demographic and service information. The Data Specialist will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and utilizing statistical data to identify weaknesses in data integrity and to compile reports for agency stakeholders. Additionally, the Data Specialist will work to improve data quality within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
Please note: This is a temporary position anticipated to extend until October 26th, 2023.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Assist with data analysis and reporting for funders.
- Mine database to ensure accurate data input across our CRM Platform.
- Respond to AWARDS helpdesk requests.
- Interface with AWARDS (CRM) database to correct and improve issues affecting data integrity.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Address data quality issues (as needed).
- Maintain clear and positive communication with supervisor, AWARDS users, program directors, and other stakeholders through all interactions.

Skill and Education:
- Experience with AWARDS a plus
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with CRM database administration

- Acknowledges all data and technical requests from others in an efficient, responsible, timely and courteous manner.
Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
