Your New Role…

The Animation Studio team is looking for an experienced NYC-based editor for a new season of Hero Ball, a scripted comedic animated series featuring anime versions of NBA stars. Episodes are approximately 3 minutes long and distributed on the BR app as well as major social platforms.

Your Role Accountabilities…

• Selecting music tracks and incorporating them into the audio to help direct visual cues
• Assembling the audio track for each episode
• Being mindful of pacing and episode time constraints
• Running sessions with voice actors and noting best takes
• Ability to adapt to changes in production plan/schedules
• Closed captioning
• Export final deliverables
• Sound design

Qualifications & Experience…

• Experience placing music, sound effects, and mixing audio
• Expert in Adobe Audition
• Great communication skills - be able to give and receive critical feedback
• Good attitude in stressful situations
• Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro and its captioning tools
• Minimum 5 years editing experience
• Must be local to NYC
• Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• NBA fan preferred but not required
• Good sense of humor, and strong sense of comedic timing
• Attention to visual and technical details

This is a project-based position scheduled to end November 2023. The success of the show and business objectives will determine if this position will be needed after then.

The Legal Bits…

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. $72,800.00 - $135,200.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
