BODYARMOR is looking for a Commercial Execution Director to join our team.
This role leads BODYARMOR Sport Nutrition’s Commercial Execution team, focused on providing end-to-end strategy, solutions, and support for the executional organization calling on customers and bottlers. The role works cross-functionally with internal departments, including brand & shopper marketing, business insights, innovation and planning, finance, customer, and bottler sales teams. This leader will play a key role in driving our overall commercial direction and facilitating communication across the broader organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets strategy and develops solutions for breakthrough retail execution, including shaping shopper messaging by channel and occasion.
- Supervises the internal trimester ops deck/pillar program planning process working cross-functionally with brand marketing, communications, creative, shopper marketing, business intelligence, partnerships, legal and senior leadership
- Responsible for the management of the Commercial Operations Budget ($8M Annually)
- Leads team responsible for 6-8 Ignition (blitz) events nationally, designed to drive commercial execution and inspire excitement throughout North America.
- Develops and leads team responsible for end-to-end retail execution of annual retail/commercial plans.
- Facilitates the creation of BODYARMOR and POWERADE National Look of Success and Merchandising standards that aligns with strategic channel priorities
- Oversees the end of month trade spend reconciliation process working cross functionally with finance and business planning
- Manages key sales and cross functional routine to drive execution and delivery of all customer, bottler and company objectives (Triangle Offense)
- Provides strategic bottler & customer team support on promotional activity, marketing and innovation plans including strategy, tactics, and execution requirements. This includes leading internal and bottler-facing incentives designed to drive execution of the commercial plans.
- Creates and conceptualizes disruptive solutions for national merchandising strategy to maximize availability, brand growth and impactful retail execution (includes point-of-sale, couponing, dealer loaders, etc)
- Works closely with Coca-Cola North America’s commercial teams on the sharing of insights, usage of shared assets (ie Olympics), and the integration of our sports portfolio initiatives into broader portfolio programming.
- Oversees department’s responsibility against annual company-wide intern summit kick-off, and overall intern communications
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills
- Position requires travel by car and plane, including both local and neighboring geographic territories (estimated at ~10-20% travel)
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a relevant role required
- Experience developing channel & retail tactics, digital, marketing programs and segmented commercial plans
- Creative thinker who can work independently
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to drive long distances; Motor Vehicle Records must satisfy Company standards per Driving Policy
- CPG experience preferred
- Experienced leader who possesses excellent leadership capabilities, leads by example, is able to work in a networked environment, is a highly effective communicator, and an influencer at all levels
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree required
- New York based is preferred
- Previous experience setting commercial strategy, driving exceptional retail execution, and developing business capabilities for an organization
- Reliable, hard-working & proactive team player with can-do attitude
- Salary Range: $150,000 - $185,000 annually - Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
