BODYARMOR is looking for a Director of Shopper Strategy to join our team.

The headquarter-based, Director of Shopper Strategy, is responsible for developing national shopper and field marketing strategy inclusive of annual planning, budget management, shopper communication strategy and development of all shopper tools. This position will ensure cross departmental alignment and cohesion between the Brand Marketing and Shopper and Field Marketing teams, ensuring excellence and seamless execution to deliver brand objectives and accelerate BODYARMOR goal of becoming the #1 Sports Drink. The position will report into the VP Marketing Activation and will closely partner with the Brand Marketing, Communications, Partnerships, and other key internal departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop the national Shopper Marketing strategy and key national shopper programs across all BODYARMOR product platforms, informed by consumer & shopper insights, category trends and brand equities:
  • Retail Brand Messaging & Creative
  • Keep a pulse on overall marketing/sales performance, quarterly brand insights, segmentation, industry & purchaser insights, trends, that can be leveraged to develop more impactful shopper communications and programming.
  • Own the day-to-day management operations of all Shopper Marketing agencies including being the liaison between relevant departments, negotiating national contracts, exploring novel programming strategies, creating exciting tools.
  • Own the day-to-day shopper budget management.
  • Media & Social strategy
  • Property & Partnership management and activation
  • Lead strategic direction & creative feedback on any Shopper programming development & creative ensuring it supports Brand strategy within the retail/shopper/consumer ecosystem.
  • Key central liaison across all Brand Management & Shopper teams to identify strategic opportunities nationally, centralize communication & implement efficient processes and aid in facilitating cross-department collaboration.
  • National campaign development shopper extensions
  • Partner programs & solutions
  • Lead & collaborate with the Creative Team to optimize the creative portal and shopper program development processes to ensure seamless project execution between the HQ and decentralized Shopper Marketing teams.
  • Develop go-to-market innovation including new program concepts by collaborating internally with relevant departments; including but not limited to exploring new technologies, partnership opportunities, and program optimizations that will enable us to build more impactful shopper tools and accelerate our business goals.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive shopper playbook and tools, that allow the Shopper & Field teams to activate nationally & regionally in compliance with Brand & Retailer guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Position may require up to 10% national travel by plane or car: including both local and neighboring geographic territories.
  • Proficient at analyzing and distilling insights across a myriad of syndicated, 1st party and 3rd party data systems and reports
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with ability to work in highly fluid, fast-paced, charged, and frenetic environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or Advanced Degree Preferred
  • 8-10 Years in CPG Shopper Marketing, required
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to drive long distances
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate about Brand & Shopper Marketing and building brands
  • Position requires in-person attendance at bi-annual company retreats/meetings across US
  • High energy, positive disposition, self-starter and proactive
  • Professional level proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products including PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
  • Salary Range: $145,000 - $170,000 annually -Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Motor Vehicle Records must satisfy Company standards per Driving Policy
