Job Description
A recognized hedge fund in New York City is currently seeking a new Execution Trader for a promising opportunity with their Execution Trading Desk team. In this role, the Execution Trader will be responsible for playing a key role in the build out a world class options systematic execution platform.


Responsibilities


The Execution Trader will:


  • Work with the Developers to design the next generation of option monitoring tools
  • Interface directly with Portfolio Managers, Brokers, Senior Management and the Compliance & Risk teams
  • Manage the systematic execution of options and assist with flow in other asset classes
  • Analyze large data-sets to guide further automation and refinement of execution processes
  • Advise on algorithmic execution methods through an understanding of the underlying market structure
  • Perform other duties, as needed
  • Monitor automated execution flows and pursue improvements to reduce the cost of implementing models
Qualifications:


  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Comfortable in Python, Database Languages, and Linux.
  • Knowledge of the Greeks, US Options Market Structure, Options Trading and Risk Monitoring.
  • Experience in data analysis.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Quantitative and/or Technical related field
  • Highly organized
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • 5+ years of related work experience in a Bank and/or Hedge fund setting
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Expertise in Options
