Role Summary
- Connect research and analytics together to tell a compelling and persuasive story and deliver clear and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Lead identification of information needs and development of research and data analysis plans.
- Develop and execute creation of in-house knowledge base to drive patient and HCP insights.
- Act as strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to the identification and evaluation of commercial strategies and tactics.
- Provide market analytics leadership to U.S., Global or Pipeline commercial teams to drive investment decisions.
- Evaluate campaign assets to ensure optimal customer experience steeped in deep customer insights.
- Assist in advancing the vision for the future direction of brand activities (Journey Orchestration, Next Best Action, etc)
- Recommend campaign improvement and corrective actions.
- Develop and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of a brand’s marketing campaign.
- Integrate campaign insights to broader analytic activities to paint the full picture of marketing execution and customer behavior and inform resource allocation decisions
- In partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders, act as lead for the development of Long-Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans.
- Review and enhance forecasts or strategic brand plans with strong expertise in ability to qualify and quantify the business opportunity, including communicating results and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Coordinate forecasting activities with local in-country, Global, and Forecasting CoE colleagues.
- Ensure accurate effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership, including clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business.
- Drive the creation of best-in-class epi- and trend-based forecast models in partnership with CoE colleagues.
- Actively contribute to advancement of team capabilities through thought leadership; seek to share knowledge and expertise with other colleagues making use of knowledge sharing platform.
- Alignment with other analytic teams to ensure cohesive activities with our stakeholders.
- Lead dialogue to integrate insights across various cross-functional teams – data science, analytics engineering, market research, and analytics transformation and governance teams
- Partner with other analytic functions to advance the use of novel data sources including RWD.
- Ensure team commissioning and contracting through preferred vendors
- Direct and prioritize workload of flexible resources
- Accountable for team meeting compliance and Corporate SOP obligations of all primary market research projects
- Crate and manage budgets associated with assigned activities
- Be accountable for continuous improvement and identification/utilization of new capabilities to maximize the competitive advantages of the business
- Previous demonstrated Business / Financial acumen
- Known subject matter expert for quantitative and qualitative primary market research methodologies
- Previous demonstrated experience in using innovative techniques to monitor, simulate and analyze complex data sets preferred
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Previous demonstrated experience of forecasting revenues, including complex methodologies
- Recognized expertise and coach to others on connecting, integrating, and synthesizing analysis into a meaningful ‘so what’ to drive clear strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making
- Ability to assess and direct vendor technical capabilities and manage risks in the analytic process
- Proven ability to act as a strategic partner with the capacity to quickly establish relationships of trust, credibility, and be seen as a driving partner to commercial clients
- Extensive experience in the design and management of secondary data analytics
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to identify, prioritize and describe relevant caveats and uncertainties in research, analytic projects, and forecasts, including how they relate to the business question and broader strategic priorities
- Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands, deal with ambiguity, and lead teams through complex and challenging cross-functional projects
- Forecast experience with ability to run models to understand risks and uncertainties, with ability to communicate ‘the story’ to commercial leadership
- Ability to influence without authority, setting business direction, priorities, and action plans
- Analytics, statistics and/or database knowledge and experience (using tools, applications, platforms, etc.)
- Demonstrated analytical capabilities and critical thinking skills
- 10+ years’ experience in Biopharma, analytics, strategic consulting, business, or related area
- Strong project management and organizational skills with cross-functional teams of diverse colleagues
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required. Masters (or equivalent) preferred in a quantitative discipline
- Strong customer service orientation
- Demonstrated success in a highly fast-paced setting
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to identify new issues, trends, and opportunities from data
