About the Position:
We are continuing to build our World Class claims team! Our Claims Support Associates provide dedicated support to our managers and adjusters by providing support in a variety of different areas. Reporting, issuing checks and working in our systems to keep policy holder claim information updated and organized are a few of the tasks that you’ll be assigned to.
You will also have the opportunity to work on special projects that will help to expand your claims knowledge and skillset.
*This position is a 100% remote U.S. based opportunity. Some travel for day-to-day work, team meetings, and training will be required.
Key Responsibilities: (What you'll be asked to do)
- Assist with claim review and entry of First Notice of Loss (FNOL’s) and identify which team incoming claims should be assigned to in our claims system.
- Collect data for our SIU referral requests.
- Create useful reports to present key metrics to claims leadership on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Some ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Assist the claims team by fielding questions from agents and policyholders, a keen sense of knowing when to escalate certain questions to the appropriate internal team members will be necessary.
- Responsible for accurately issuing, reissuing, or rejecting payments to our service providers, policyholders, vendors, and attorneys.
- Monitor our general claims email inboxes to ensure new claims, reassignments, and reopens are distributed timely to staff or independent adjusters.
- Review open claims to obtain missing file information such as estimates and settlement letters for mortgage companies.
- Other special projects as assigned.
- Utilize our Zendesk system to examine and troubleshoot claims information from policyholders and agents.
- Utilize our One Inc payment system to research and identify outstanding payments, uncashed checks, and reissue checks when necessary.

Some Requirements: (what you’ll need to be successful)
- Proven working experience with 1-3 years in the insurance, customer service, or related field.
- Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills are required to understand, analyze, and process payments to service providers.
Education:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent (GED) is required.
Computer Skills:
- We’re a MS Office environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Experience using video and chat technology (MSTeams & Slack)
- Other insurance-related programs such as IMS, Symbility, LSS (litigation only)
Other:
- Ability to become (or already) a Notary Public
- Reliable high-speed internet connectivity required.
