We are on a mission to build the factory of the future through the development of modular manufacturing solutions that allow our customers to rapidly produce and iterate on their designs by utilizing our robotic sheet metal forming platform. We are looking for a driven, energetic, and detail-oriented Chief of Staff to join our team. As the Chief of Staff, you will work directly with the CEO and closely with our executive leadership team to help grow, scale, and run the day-to-day operations more effectively at Machina Labs. This role requires a highly resourceful, self-driven individual with the ability to partner, execute, and lead through influence. You will be entrusted with an incredible amount of responsibility on company-critical initiatives.


You will work collaboratively with the CEO and other team leaders to execute on all major company priorities. You will be an integral and strategic advisor to leadership across the organization as we scale. You will look at Machina Labs’ short- and long-term goals, and advise the team on strategy, operations, prioritization, and communication.


You will enable leaders to stay hyper-focused on company goals, ensure cross-functional alignment, problem solve, and action plan Machina Labs’ development of our capabilities as we scale. You will take a practical and analytical approach to problem solving, and bias toward action as it meets business goals and milestones.

What You'll Do


  • Act as operational right hand leader to the CEO, manage projects internally and external vendors
  • Develop agendas and materials for executive meetings; track next steps and follow-ups to completion.
  • Manage projects on behalf of the CEO, ensuring deadlines are hit and appropriate steps taken.
  • Serve as the organizational “glue” – connecting, onboarding, and supporting the growth of the team.
  • Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
  • Help develop company strategy by preparing and executing strategic materials and presentations, including support for investor relations and raising capital.
  • Attend meetings on behalf of the CEO and act as a representative when required
Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • MBA from a top-tier graduate program
  • 1+ years of experience in working with an engineering heavy company, ideally within a start-up
  • 3+ years of consulting experience or operations experience in a fast-growing hardware technology company or the military
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, Robotics or a similar discipline
