Cfo - Small Business

A small, yet very successful business located in West Los Angeles is looking for a CFO. While working closely with the COO and managing a small team, the CFO will have hands-on responsibility of accounting, finance, and business operations. The CFO will ensure efficient accounting policies and procedures and monitor staff production. The CFO will perform strategic analysis, create and analyze the fiscal budget, conduct real estate underwriting, evaluate real estate property acquisitions, oversee profitability, handle monthly/quarterly/annual closes, A/P, A/R, manage company operations, review cash flow reporting and cyclical variances, identify market segments for expansion - being responsible for the profitability of the organization. The CFO will also perform investment management for the CEO’s investment portfolio, work closely with the CEO and COO’s money management teams, collaborate with external audit teams and business partners, as well as make periodic trips to visit the operating sites.

• Ability to work with various personnel is essential.
• Background of enhancing accounting policies and procedures.
• Solid career track.
• ERP systems (QuickBooks) and strong Excel skills are important.
• Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• Must have experience working in a small business setting.
• Investment management (i.e., IRR, NAV, revenue forecasting, etc.) is also required.
• Must be hands-on. Must be willing to roll up your sleeves and participate in the work.
• CPA is preferred, but not required.
• Evaluating and underwriting real estate acquisitions and investments is needed.
• Multi-family real estate or agricultural/farming industries is preferred.
