Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Economics, Management or similar is required, MBA and CPA valued
• Private company CFO experience within SAAS - B toB business model company (biotech/pharma/med device is a plus)
• Change Agent with redesign skills experience with growth processes, Understanding Sales operations. To put in Key Metrics and KPI’s
• Strong experience in all stages of growth with specific expertise in leading the preparation for multiple types of capitalization.
• Experience as both a strategic thought leader to help drive corporate initiatives and a willingness and ability to switch to hands on leader as necessary
• 10 years’ experience in an operational/analytical or strategic/technical problem-solving financial leadership position
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions and partnering activities
• Experience with International Financial practices both US and Europe

Responsibilities

• Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company’s strategic plans
• Act as a business partner to the leadership team; assess organizational performance and financial performance against the annual budget, prior year results and the company’s long-term strategy
• Board, Audit, Compensation, and Corporate Governance committee meeting preparation, support and attendance
• Independent and strategic leadership skills with strong focus on business growth
• Participate in supplier contract negotiation and cost reduction planning
• Optimizing the finance and accounting functions, information systems and administration; develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
• Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures for the company
• A record of demonstrated success in building and managing a high-performance finance function, with proven experience meeting the demands of fast-growing organizations
• Key player in culture development to support organizational expansion
• The ability to rapidly integrate into an organization, build relationships with key constituencies (CEO, management, board, investors and any existing finance team members), evaluate business processes / functions and make necessary changes
• Represent the company to business partners, analysts, investors, including financial institutions and auditors
• Develop and implement tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information and make actionable recommendations to leadership team and board on both strategy and operations. Automate from Manual processes.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Economics, Management or similar is required, MBA and CPA valued
• Leadership skills are a must
• 20 years’ experience in an operational/analytical or strategic/technical problem-solving financial leadership position
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Life Sciences (Biotech, pharma, med device, Health IT) required
