Business Reporting Analyst

Remote role, but candidates need to go onsite (center city Philadelphia) 1-2 times per quarter for meetings. Candidates from tri-state (PA, NJ, DE) areas only.

No Visa/No C2C/No 3rd party candidates. This person must work directly on our hourly W2 payroll as a Contractor.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Working in the Reporting team, the Business Reporting Analyst will primarily be engaged in Reporting projects, including working with stakeholders to gather requirements for the specific reports they need, understanding the functions of the report and its origin, working with the sourcing team to put the data together, perform data mapping, turn requirements into technical documents for the developers, hold and perform walk-through sessions with the developers and technical teams.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to the queries from business regarding report data issues.
• Develop data mapping and data design documents.
• Analyze and create Use Cases, Use Case Diagrams, Activity diagrams, Class diagrams, Data Flow Diagrams, Business Flow Diagrams and Sequence diagrams using MS Visio
• Conduct discussion with stake holders and respective teams regarding the requirements, data issues and additional functionalities.
• Validate data using Excel, Access, SQL developer, BQ, Teradata and have good experience in Data Analysis, Data Profiling, Data Migration, Data Integration and Metadata Management Services.
• Transform Business Requirements into Software Requirement Specification.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or relevant field.
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Strong experience in developing various Reports.
• Big Query experience would be nice to have, but not required.
• Healthcare or Health Insurance experience is nice to have, but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong SQL background writing complex queries using multiple joins.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Highly analytical mindset.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Reporting Analyst.
