About The Job
The Data and Reporting Analyst will be a vital member of our Business Intelligence team, enabling us to make data-driven decisions by providing rich insights and strategic recommendations. The successful candidate will have in-depth experience with Power BI and a strong understanding of its capabilities, including data extraction and transformation, data modeling, and the creation of dynamic and interactive reports. This role not only involves building and maintaining our reporting systems but also conveying complex data findings in a digestible format via Power BI, Excel, email communication, and PowerPoint presentations. The Data and Reporting Analyst will also diagnose our existing Power BI environment, suggest improvements or alternatives, and effectively communicate these ideas to optimize our data practices.
Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Power BI Environment Assessment and Improvement: Regularly evaluate the current Power BI environment, identifying areas for improvement or alternatives to enhance our data practices. Implement changes that drive greater efficiency and more meaningful insights.
• Other duties as assigned, or any reasonable request from any member of management.
• Data Modeling and Transformation: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data models using Power BI. Extract, transform, and load data from a variety of sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization to understand their data and reporting needs. Translate these needs into technical requirements to deliver efficient and effective BI solutions.
• Report and Dashboard Development: Create interactive dashboards and comprehensive reports using Power BI to provide actionable insights. Tailor the presentation of data to the audience's needs, selecting the appropriate visualization techniques and customizing the aesthetics of the reports.
• Knowledge Sharing and Training: Share your knowledge of Power BI across the organization, providing training to other team members and stakeholders on the effective use of these tools. Create user guides and conduct training sessions as needed.

• Business Acumen: The candidate must have a strong understanding of business operations, strategy, and decision-making processes, and the ability to translate business needs into data analysis and reporting solutions.
• Regulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain and maintain medical marijuana work credentials, if applicable
• Teamwork and Collaboration: The ability to work effectively as part of a team is crucial. This role involves collaborating with other team members and stakeholders frequently.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. An advanced degree or relevant certification, such as Power BI certification, is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency and experience with DAX, M or other related languages is required. Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing and data architecture is also necessary. Advanced Excel skills also required as well as an ability to be flexible across data platforms and tools.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong ability to creatively solve data challenges and identify optimal solutions for the business.
• Experience: At least 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Power BI is essential. The successful candidate will have deep familiarity with Power BI's capabilities and will have used these capabilities to drive insights and inform strategic decisions. Experience with diagnosing Power BI environments and suggesting improvements is crucial. Strong proficiency in Excel is also necessary.
• Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data scenarios in clear, understandable terms to various stakeholders. Ability to use multiple tools such as Excel and PowerPoint in communicating analysis.
