Job Description
Senior Business Analyst Position


The Business Analyst will execute new and existing client transitions and work team members and healthcare payer clients. He or She will also contribute to the team by assisting with identifying barriers, providing resolutions and solutions through training and collaboration with the Implementation Team and internal Zelis resources. This role allows the individual to execute at many levels both within the organization and directly Clients.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • Configure software and perform testing
  • Document project plans, deliverables and expectations as well as outcomes.
  • Support and influence Client focused strategic business decisions that impact the business
  • Own client relationship from sales execution through implementation to account manager hand off
  • Gather, analyze and document business and system requirements in a formalized manner
  • Communicate to all levels on project status, deliverables, obstacles, milestones and impacts
  • Potential client visits, with some travel required
  • Perform analysis and identify gaps in functionality for system integrations
  • Deliver kick off meetings with the respective stakeholders
  • Project manage transitions and other operational initiatives
  • Conduct daily/weekly meetings with client’s staff to execute transition plans
  • Follows established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies
  • Complete responsibilities with high ethical behavior

Education And Experience


  • High School diploma or equivalent GED required, BS or BA degree preferred, Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical degree a plus.
  • Basic data skills, including ability to use text editors
  • Knowledge of healthcare claims communication process, as well as printing aspects of claims communications documents or enrollment materials is a plus
  • Proficiency with computer and applicable software packages, including Microsoft Office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, Internet and E-mail
  • SQL Database experience a strong plus
  • Ability to understand and utilize web based applications for project management and client business to business applications - JIRA
  • Use standard office equipment
  • 4-6 years in Healthcare Industry experience preferred
  • Sitting at desk or meetings, or standing for long periods of time
  • Physical Factors:
  • Work long hours and flexible schedule when needed
  • Previous Customer Service experience preferred
