Business Intelligence Financial Reporting, Sr Analyst

Overview:

The Sr. Analyst will support the Director of Business Intelligence and other roles with routine and ad hoc reporting for key business initiatives, such as sales contests, tracking to incentive/milestone targets and other reporting as requested. This role will also participate in the strategy, planning, execution and maintenance of the business intelligence initiative to provide standardized, robustly defined and timely insights on KPIs directly impacting company financial performance. Provide valuable data insights and coordinate analysis with functional teams. Maintain positive working conditions within an environment of continuous improvement and change.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

• Support Executive and Finance Leadership teams with monthly financial management through timely reporting, advanced analysis, and critical thinking
• Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.
• Solicit appropriate expertise to ensure proper resolution to complex issues.
• Discuss, debate and challenge metric definitions, alternatives and insights with executive team members and functional leaders
• Liaise with relevant back- and front-end data (IT) teams in the pursuit of common objectives.
• Participate in the Company's business intelligence and key performance indicator (KPI) initiative. Specifically, help to design, execute and provide ongoing monitoring and refinement of the company's performance management measures and data insights with a particular emphasis on connecting KPI movements and trends to business and financial performance.
• Work cross functionally to drive projects forward, gain richer insights and create alignment.

Working Environment/Safety Requirements:

• Remote or office environment acceptable
• 15% travel within the U.S.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Background in maximizing efficiencies through standardization.
• Strong skills in managing daily operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, credit and collections.
• Considerable skills in preparing forecasts, controlling costs and maximizing profits, and producing accurate reports.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and to adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives.
• Advanced knowledge of current computer systems and proficiency in Excel and spreadsheets essential.
• Strong analytical and process management skills.
• Experience in project management.
• Considerable knowledge of accounting standards, practices and procedures.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in financial analysis and/or data analysis.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in accounting or financial analysis.

Compensation: The salary rate for this position ranges from $75,000 to $110,000, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors.
