We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst for our enterprise applications data & analytics transformation team. The ideal candidate will have experience with business applications such as Workday, Oracle Financials, Salesforce as well as legacy and modern databases. In this role you will collaborate with various departments (such as Sales, Customer Experience, Finance, HR) to understand and document requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

This position involves working on the full lifecycle approach for data - from requirements gathering through design and implementation.

You will be part of a team of analysts, SMEs, architects, and developers designing and building Snowflake data warehouses and analytical solutions which draw from legacy and modern data sources stored in various cloud and on-premises databases such as Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server, Snowflake.

You will analyze legacy analytical tools such as Cognos and others and work to develop the next generation analytical platform for CDK Global LLC. You will participate in scrum teams that will use these requirements to build out our new modern Data Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Write well performing SQL to perform complex joins.
• Participate in legacy migration projects moving off legacy tools such as Cognos, DataStage, Oracle DB and others.
• Identify ways to improve performance or value of the data and analytical platform and tools.
• Participate in modernization projects moving to tools such as Snowflake, PowerBI, Airbyte, Boomi, DBT.
• Use low-code BI tools such as Power Bi to develop reports.
• Analyze legacy business processes and reports to design new and improved modern solutions. Develop User stories for the implementation teams.
• Participate in scrum teams.
• Understand the best practices around JOINS, VIEWS and other SQL techniques.
• Collect, document, and analyze business requirements for data and analytical purposes.
• Participate in projects that include a mix of application and/or data integration, data warehousing, analytics, governance, and reporting solutions.

Skill Requirements

• Experience with reporting related to CRM, HR, Finance, Procurement a plus.
• College Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Engineering or similar.
• Positive attitude and a strong desire to be a positive force for transformation.
• Experience working a CI/CD full lifecycle environment a plus.
• Comfortable working in Zoom meetings with Camera On.
• Experience with Snowflake is mandatory.
• Experience with databases Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server.
• You will be asked for writing samples, code examples and other examples as part of the interview process.
• Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to read code and support applications, reports and processes.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, VSCode, DBT, Liquibase, SQL Developer or similar a plus.
• Database skills including SQL statement development, performance tuning, data analysis and integration.
• Able to work in a large organization with a mix of onshore, offshore, employee, vendor and contract employees in multiple time zones.
• Experience using Power Bi, Power Platform, Power Apps to connect to Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server or Snowflake, Alation for data governance and Boomi for integrations.
• Experienced working on scrum teams a plus.
• Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• 5-10 years of experience in Business Systems Analysis focusing on Data/Datawarehouse/ETL/Reporting initiatives.
• Attention to detail, producing high quality documents and work product.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to put together project deliverables in Confluence, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
