Associate Business Analyst Jobs

Position Summary :

The Business Analyst will be responsible for executing on PGE’s mission of safe, reliable, and affordable operations. The Business Analyst position will be responsible for process management, data analysis, research, reporting, and overall assistance with business decision making. This individual will evaluate the effectiveness of, and recommend improvements in business processes, practices, and procedures. This position may also be involved in special projects. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues who are committed and enthusiastic about customer advocacy. This requires a resilient initiative-taker who can adapt in a rapidly changing environment while demonstrating the ability to collaborate comfortably with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

PGE is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.

A reasonable salary range is:

Minimum (Bay Area) $66,000.00

Maximum (Bay Area) $98,000.00

Job Responsibilities:

Develops communication plans. Ensures target audience is fully educated and adheres to program policies, processes, procedures.

Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Presents findings and recommendations to leaders.

Facilitates and reviews all data request responses/responsibilities to ensure consistency

Manages cross-functional projects or initiatives

Coordinates, develops, implements, tracks, and communicates organizational metrics, performance dashboards, and centralized action log

Supports organization financial reporting

Develop business cases in support of strategy or change initiatives

Analyze process issues and bottlenecks and to make improvements

Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders

Minimum:Bachelor of Science in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience required.

Desired:

Comprehensive understanding of utility operations and work execution processes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Prior experience managing programmatic work.

Prior experience developing partnerships with external stakeholders for work execution.

Analytical and creative problem solving, strategic decision-making ability.

Broad knowledge of project/program management, process improvement best practices, concepts, methods, and techniques.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, and Visio or similar software

Understanding of root cause analysis and process improvement concepts, methods, and techniques

Effective oral and written communication skills
