Business Development Manager - Hospitality


About the Role:


Ooma is a leading provider of cloud-based voice and data solutions for over 60 hospitality brands and growing. As a Business Development Manager at Ooma, you will be required to combine your technical and people skills to identify and close cloud-based phone system , POTS Replacement , SIP Trunking , and Internet selling opportunities within the hospitality industry. Your focus will be on leveraging your existing contacts to build a pipeline of qualified phone service & Internet opportunities with hotels, motels, resorts, and property management companies. You will consult directly with client decision-makers, including IT Directors, Hotel Managers, and Finance Directors, to establish and define solution requirements, identify upselling opportunities, and ultimately close deals.


What You’ll Do:


  • Taking responsibility for daily sales activities and managing overall sales process and keeping sales activities in Salesforce CRM.
  • Partnering with strategic resellers to effectively identify , engage and deliver new customers
  • Developing new business and managing sales pipeline for Hotels, Motels, Resorts and related companies in the hospitality industry.
  • Closing sales and providing detailed and accurate sales forecast.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conducting a high volume of prospecting (cold calling included) to identify new opportunities.
  • Generating and qualifying leads and increasing pipeline opportunities in US and Canada.
  • Maintaining sales volume by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.


Experience We’re Looking For:


  • VoIP Telephony
  • Network & Infrastructure Design
  • Enterprise Networking – Evidence of hospitality industry contacts and/or references must be provided
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience selling in the hospitality industry is required
  • Experience selling IP solutions to Hotels, Motels, Resorts, and related companies in the hospitality industry, including brands like Marriot, Hilton, Wyndham, and IHG, is required
  • Ability to travel (20-30%)
  • Responsible for daily sales activities
  • Knowledge and/or experience selling Routing & Switching Solutions
