THE ROLE
As a Certinia intern you will be fully emerged within our Business Development team responsible for a number of key areas, including:
- Other projects as needed
- Following-up, educating, developing and qualifying a substantial volume of inbound marketing generated leads to progress prospects further into the Certinia buying process
- Researching and contacting prospective buyers, primarily by phone, making 80+ dials per day
- Consistently achieve quota to ensure territory revenue and growth objectives
- Using Salesforce and other tools to track all activities and engagements with prospects effectively
- Leverage social networking tools in addition to other tools for sales prospecting and networking
The role will involve working with one or more internal teams, learning about how they work, and making contributions to their goals and objectives.
You will have a mentor to support, stretch and guide you during your internship.
WHAT YOU WILL DO IN THIS ROLE
Responsibilities will include some or all of the following:
- Responsible for identifying and qualifying sales opportunities for APM software field sales organizations.
- Develop an understanding of the account’s business issues and other relevant information to learn more about the Sales Development prospecting process.
- Partner with field sales representatives and marketing to generate demand and qualify leads.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- You will be an undergraduate on a Business related degree track
- Some experience with database data entry is a plus (for example, Salesforce.com)
- Attention to detail
- Must be available to start in June
- Self-motivated and coachable
- Interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness and ability to cold-call sales leads and contacts
- Resourcefulness in getting over problems and establishing clarity
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Determined, team player with a can-do attitude and professional demeanor
- Strong interest in technology and sales
- It is important that you have a passion for producing the highest quality work that ultimately makes Certinia successful
Salary Range: BDR Intern (Austin) - $29hr / $1160/wk
