As an Energy Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth of the business in the energy sector by identifying new revenue opportunities and developing relationships with new and existing clients. You will ensure that the organization remains at the forefront of the industry by continuously analyzing market trends, and predicting industry changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement a strategic sales plan to maximize growth in the energy sector
- Identify new business opportunities, develop relationships, and close new deals
- Expand current client base through new business development
- Conduct market research and analysis to stay current with industry trends and changes
- Maintain regular contact with current customers to identify potential areas for growth
- Develop and manage a sales pipeline to ensure monthly goals and quotas are met
- Build and maintain exceptional relationships with key strategic partners
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events
- Prepare, present, and negotiate proposals, contracts, and agreements with clients
- Ensure that all sales activity is tracked and reported accurately
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in business development within the energy industry
- Demonstrated track record of generating new business and meeting sales targets
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
- Proven negotiation and presentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Thorough understanding of the energy industry market trends and drivers
- Excellent analytical skills to identify key trends and draw insights from data
- Strategic thinking and planning skills to develop and implement successful sales strategies
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or similar would be an added advantage. Experience in place of education is welcome.
