Job Description

General Description:
The intern will be engaged in day-to-day activities with the Clinical Development team to acquire knowledge about the drug development process, with a particular focus on B-cell hematologic malignancies and Clinical Development. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to gain insights into various other functional areas (such as Clinical Operations, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs) that Clin Dev interacts with, by scheduling cross-functional 1:1 meetings. The intern will gain practical experience in various aspects of Clinical Development, including Medical Data Review of anonymized patient data, publications (manuscripts, congress abstracts, presentations), literature review, etc. The internship will be remote or hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, USA.
Essential Functions of the job:
May include but not limited to:
  • Interpret and summarize clinical study results
  • Advance professional communication skills via regular presentations
  • Attend meetings with various functions, including educational 1:1s
  • Gain understanding of the drug development process at a pharmaceutical company with a focus on Clinical Development and B-cell hematologic malignancies
  • Review literature for projects to showcase understanding of disease states and clinical trials
  • Review anonymized patient data under supervision
  • Review/QC manuscripts, congress abstracts, presentations and other study documents
Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft suite, Zoom

Other Qualifications: Currently enrolled in third or later year of undergraduate or enrolled in post-graduate studies in a biological science or medical field

Education Required: Currently enrolled in third or later year of undergraduate or enrolled in post-graduate studies in a field related to biology, pharmacy or medicine
Pay Rate:
  • Undergraduate: $27/hr
Masters $38/hr
