Our sales team at Plaid combines deep product and industry knowledge and is focused on bringing Plaid to an ever-broadening set of businesses. You'll be the one helping us achieve this vision. As a Marketing Development Representative, you'll help identify opportunities for marketing campaign sponsorship for Plaid. You will build relationships with prospects and customers that participate in marketing campaigns, analyze campaign participation, and own outreach to new and existing companies. You will also frequently provide feedback to marketing and build new campaigns to target customers. You'll work closely with sales and business operations to drive successful progress towards our revenue acquisition goals. The ideal candidate is customer centric, goal-oriented, a collaborative team player, and excited to work in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities


  • Learning new skills and adapting to new platforms quickly
  • Financial services and technical products; Getting (more) technical and the learning the ins and outs of Plaid's APIs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Executing marketing campaign outreach, and managing follow-up activity to ensure smooth and consistent communication with prospects
  • Desire to build and maintain relationships with potential clients


Qualifications


  • Ensuring data accuracy by entering and maintaining new information into Salesforce
  • Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative findings, to feedback into Marketing and Sales efforts
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time-management skills, can prioritize tasks appropriately, and work to streamline processes
  • Ability to lead high-level conversations with business stakeholders
  • Ability to evangelize Plaid’s value proposition in order to assess buying interest
  • Having a relentless mindset and unwillingness to quit


$55,000 - $60,000 a year


Target base salary for this role is between $55,000 and $60,000 per year. Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission are dependent on the position offered. Plaid provides a comprehensive benefit plan, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Pay is based on factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location. Pay and benefits are subject to change at any time, consistent with the terms of any applicable compensation or benefit plans.
