Business Development Associate - Growth Equity Firm

Our client,, a Los Angeles based, growth-oriented private equity firm, is hiring a Business Development Associate to support the firm's deal sourcing efforts.

Responsibilities:

Investment Development / Sourcing:

• Actively engage and manage relationships with target company owners / executives
• Support the firm’s direct deal sourcing efforts
• Initiate meetings with target companies and generate investment opportunities
• Develop sector-specific investment theses, market maps and target lists
• Routinely engage with the firm's acquisitive portfolio company management teams and participate in Board-level conversations about M&A outreach / strategy
• Design, implement and manage CRM best practices
• Contribute to the development of content / digital marketing campaigns
• Implement and deploy new technologies to accelerate, automate and improve deal sourcing processes

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of business development or related experience, ideally within the high-end professional services or technology industries. Prior business development experience specific to finance or investing is not a requirement.
• Preferred: Experience related to business services, technology, tech-enabled services and/or healthcare / life
• Desire to work in a high autonomy and high responsibility role; strong orientation towards taking initiative and proactive ownership of his / her responsibilities
• Personal integrity, strong communication skills, experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, ability to work effectively as part of a small team, high maturity and EQ
• Demonstrated professional, academic and extracurricular accomplishments
• High level of responsiveness and a productive sense of urgency
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a premier undergraduate program
