Business Analyst / Data Analyst / Systems Analyst - (P&C Insurance)

Iris's direct Insurance Client is looking to hire a strong BA/DA - (P&C Insurance) for a Contract_To_Hire opportunity.

Job title : BA/DA - (P&C Insurance)

Duration : 6 months - Contract_To_Hire

Location : New York City, NY (Remote with 1-2 times visit per month to NY office)

Position Overview : -

The System Analyst is a vital IT team member, developing solutions to business problems and providing IT support to the IT Department. The role reports to the Business Relationship Manager, who is the business relationship link between business units and IT.

The System Analyst partners with critical stakeholders to define opportunities and document requirements. They work with their IT counterparts to support delivery and define testing. They frequently query databases and programs to find hidden business rules in legacy applications.

Requirements : -

• Skilled in MS Office and Visio
• Expert Excel skills (e.g., macros, pivot tables)
• Strong business background in Commercial P&C Insurance Underwriting functions
• Hands-on experience with data analysis using SQL.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of SQL experience

Primary Responsibilities : -

• Gather requirements through interviews.
• Work with Business product owners to develop and document user acceptance test cases.
• Develop business requirement documentation and use cases.
• Define requirements through data analysis and reverse engineering.
• Build a solid relationship with the business product owners and IT by demonstrating expertise and on-time delivery.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing and triage issues.
