Role Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst with project management experience to manage our Internal Applications. This will be an opportunity to own the product roadmap, oversee software development projects, and work closely with developers, QA testers, and business users to ensure positive outcomes. Some of the applications needing support include Know Your Customer (KYC), Cash Management System (CMS) Billing, and other various workflow applications being used by SMBC employees.
Role Objectives
- Obtain necessary financial approvals
- Groom backlogs
- Coordinate QA and user acceptance testing
- Manage Agile practices for development teams
- Define project timelines, run project meetings, and give regular project updates to management team
- Remove development team roadblocks
- Allocate global development resources based on priorities
- Translate business requirements into development tasks
- Prioritize development tasks and communicate those to both the development team and business stakeholders
- Own multiple Internal Applications product roadmaps
- Gather requirements from all stakeholders, which include business users, compliance officers, relationship managers, etc.
Qualifications and Skills
- Able to perform under pressure and juggle multiple initiatives
- Hungry to learn and pursue challenging opportunities contributing to the success of a global development team
- Able to understand complex and highly technical concepts and explain/translate them to peers or users
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle and Agile principles
- Expertise and interest in project management as well as business analysis
- Highly energetic, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with excellent problem solving abilities
- Minimum 4 year degree, or equivalent experience
- Must possess a highly developed sense of accountability and follow-through with an ability to effectively prioritize multiple personal tasks, projects, and goals
- Minimum 1 year in related field, such as business analysis, product management, project management, data analysis, computer science, etc
