Salary Range: $78,000-$88,000
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Department of Epidemiology in the Mailman School of Public Health seeks an experienced quantitative Data Analyst to provide data management and conduct analysis of several ongoing projects, including analyses of state-level drug policies, complex survey research, spatial analyses, and longitudinal cohort designs. Ongoing projects involve substance use and psychiatric epidemiology with a specific focus on racial health equity, criminal legal system exposure, enactment and enforcement of drug harm reduction policies, and social determinants of health; a candidate with an interest in these areas of health is preferred. The successful candidate will have experience analyzing data, and proficiency in SAS, Stata, R, MPLUS and Python. The candidate will be involved in harmonizing datasets, running machine learning algorithms, and conducting regression analyses. Experience with data harmonization, spatial analysis (e.g., analyzing geocoded data), and longitudinal data analysis (e.g., survival analysis and other time-to-event procedures, trajectory analysis) is essential. She/he/they will provide assistance with preparation of reports and papers for publication; assistance with developing related grant proposals and research protocols to extend the scope of the project; and other support as required.
Responsibilities

25% manuscript and grant preparation
5% IRB and other administrative tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree and four years of experience or equivalent in training, education, and/ or experience.
Preferred Qualifications
A master’s degree or equivalent in training, education, and/ or experience.
Experience with quantitative data management and analysis.
The ability to work with large teams of investigators.
Proficiency in SAS, Stata, R, Python is essential.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and be detail oriented.
High-level interpersonal and organizational skills.
Work experience in psychiatric and substance use epidemiology.
