Role : Business Data Analyst

Onsite at Brooklyn, NY

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

• Understand complex business needs, data requirements and then translate requirements into effective reporting, visualization and actionable insights.
• Prepare reporting requirements documentation, reviewing with business and technical teams to ensure design meets business and technical requirements.
• Articulate and influence on requirements for future database and predictive analytics development.
• Performs ad-hoc analyses
• Review business requirements with stakeholders and obtaining their sign-off.
• Interact with database developers and users across the organization to ensure timely delivery of relevant and user-friendly reporting.
• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of operational data; as well as the collection and analysis of data for special projects
• Establishes data processing routines with business users and validates data quality
• Work with Project Managers to set timeline and meet project deadlines;
• Support the streamlining and automation of ad-hoc and standardized reporting functions.

Preferred Skills:

• Data migration experience in data modeling and mapping will be a plus.
• Multi-tasking and ability to handle priorities as well as work against tight deadlines.
• Excellent written communication, including validating/verifying and technical writing skills.
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design and development.
• 6+ years working experience as a data analyst or business analyst.
• Advanced SQL query skills and understanding of relational database principles.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (SPSS, SAS etc.).
• Strong knowledge of and experience with database and data analytic programs such as Microsoft SQL, Access, and Excel; Informix; knowledge in Attachmate Reflection is plus.
• Experience working as a Business or System Analyst in redesigning Case Management and Case Tracking Systems.
