Position Summary
The Business Analyst will gather data and perform analyses to support the execution of our business development plan. The individual will follow market trends, gather customer feedback, and consult with in-house experts to understand customer needs and how we can position the company to meet those needs. The ideal candidate will have strong market and customer focus with the ability to translate and prioritize information into executable growth strategies.

Business/Finance

• Scope and deliver business cases to support investment in new product developments, innovations, or expansion opportunities.
• Develop expertise in internal and external sources of information for analysis to provide information for decision making.
• Create and update business cases by creating financial models based on internal and external data sources.
• Develop, monitor, and report sales and marketing performance metrics.
• Identify strengths and weaknesses of all competitors and analyze their risk to Bluefors.
• Present information cross-functionally to support initiatives.

Marketing

• Develop market understanding by performing market research, including interaction with customers and prospective customers
• Develop metrics to determine the effectiveness of marketing spend
• Assist with CRM system optimization and maintenance activities.
• Identify key trends in each market to determine how they will impact our customers, competitors and Bluefors.
• Assemble marketing strategies, project and product briefs and relevant marketing communication to support the business development plan.
• Conduct customer interviews and visits to develop greater insight into market needs and direction
• Assist in the development and maintenance of the sales pipeline
• Develop knowledge of our customers, such as: their business strategy, organization, who decision makers are, their business drivers and purchasing behaviors.

General

• Other duties as assigned
• Be available to travel, up to 25%

Qualifications And Education Requirements

• Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree in marketing, finance, accounting, engineering, or business administration strongly preferred. Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
