About The Role
Uber is looking for a Benefits Program Manager to drive program administration within the Global Benefits team, focusing on the US and Canada benefit programs.
This role will support the implementation of new programs and system changes, manage vendor partner relationships, oversee LOA processes and improve operational solutions to enhance employee engagement with benefit programs in the US and Canada. This role will support the day to day activities associated with our biggest Benefit programs.
What You'll Do
- Build process documentation aligned to recommendations of internal audit and financial risk management teams
- Be responsible for US and Canada leave of absence program. Responsibilities include managing LOA vendor partner relationship, maintain LOA policies incorporating industry and regulation changes, partnering with our internal legal partners when issues arise
- Triage escalated employee cases and support requests
- Partner with other departments, such as HR and Payroll, to ensure that employee benefits are administered accurately and efficiently
- Manage ongoing vendor relationships including program analysis and strategic recommendations
- Support with on-site/ virtual events (e.g. seasonal flu shot clinics, annual enrollment education webinars, etc)
- Design and implement effective employee communications, benefit guides and informative presentations
- Complete day-to-day operations for US and Canada Benefit Programs: Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA/FSA, COBRA
- Identify opportunities to improve existing and build scalable processes to enhance the employee and administrative experience
- Stay informed on regulations and laws related to employee benefits and ensure that the organization follows these regulations
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, ability to simplify and clearly communicate concepts to employees
- Strong eye for business, particularly financial and analytical skills
- Excellent Excel and Google Sheets skills
- Self-starter with a drive to collaborate and problem solve
- Prior experience managing employee healthcare, retirement, and leave of absence benefit programs for US populations, international experience a plus
- Prior experience supporting a Benefits function within a high-growth organization
For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is $87,000 per year - $97,000 per year.
