Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Associate Executive Director is responsible for financial development opportunities and growth of organization. The Associate Executive Director will be responsible for the development department and administration of the development department, fiscal budgets, promotion, implementation, evaluation, supervision, and to provide leadership to achieve The OUT Foundation mission.
As the Associate Executive Director you will serve as a strong fund development team member to grow the organization's overall impact. Having quality experience in events, small to mid range donor giving, CRM experience and an unwavering commitment to advancing LGBTQ+ health and wellness. This role also oversees the communications department to ensure our mission is visible, engaging and growing.
Responsibilities
1. Develops, administers and controls fiscal budgets, including meeting income targets and expense control, in consultation with the Executive Director.
2. Articulates a clear vision for the mission and goals of The OUT Foundation, which inspires and engages internal constituents and external community.
3. Provides leadership to the development department for events, small to mid donors, and outreach including strategies to deepen involvement of staff, volunteers and participants.
4. Provides leadership to the marketing and communications team.
5. Assists in the development and implementation of The OUT Foundation strategic plan.
6. Leads the annual campaign with assistance from the Executive Director.
7. Prepares and maintains statistical, analytical and narrative reports and records related to fund development and operations as required.
8. Provides opportunities and resources to meet staff training and development needs.
9. In partnership with team members, leads community events aimed toward fulfillment of fundraising goals.
10. Coordinates facilitation of financial assistance procedures associated with the OUTAthlete program.
11. Provides leadership for staff meetings.
12. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies and other organizations.
13. Assist with any other projects or activities as assigned.
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of professional experience. The ability to develop and maintain quality donor relations is essential. Because of the program diversity, strong organizational and supervisory skills are required. This person must possess knowledge in the areas of fundraising, fiscal management, program and event planning and personnel management.

Salary:
$80,000 – $90,000 per year
