Job Description
Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organization
The Assistant Manager Storytelling supports the development of an integrated, through-the- line, marketing communications package to support adidas’ global and specific BU marketing and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of communication tools from conception to implementation ensuring all projects are on brief and meet the highest creative standards.
  • Assist in directing agencies towards creative concept that meets objectives and works across disciplines, and global markets.
  • Assist in researching communication opportunities, as well as opportunities for Co-ops & Co-branding and coordinate with day-to-day management of all other marketing disciplines: Digital, Social, PR and retail.
  • Provide inputs for creation of action plans for BU communications projects with the aim to maximize brand and (new) product exposure while maximizing efficiencies.
  • Assist in coordinating global and local agencies across projects and activities for the business unit: agency briefing process and development of concepts and creative elements.
  • Helps executing and tracking the Business Unit and global communications plan and benchmark the progress in the brand perception in markets.
  • Assist BU product managers in developing marketing and communication plans that drive the business unit and lead to effective communication activities.
  • Remain up-to-date on the fast developing Media Environment in general and New Media technologies and opportunities in particular.
  • Support campaign performance post-evaluation by conducting or coordinating research and tracking project development, collating results into regular quality reports.
  • Contribute to the development of short and long term communications strategy based on the global SBP and specific business unit objectives and drive the development of an effective channel-planning strategy based on the consumer and marketing objectives.
  • Assist in processing communications and advertising specific budgets and spending strategies to insure communication activities are developed with regional use and implementation issues in mind.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Understanding of an ever-changing marketing landscape and exposure to project management.
  • Interpersonal/communication skills and some level of strategic thinking.
  • Understanding of and passion for the sports and fashion/entertainment industry.
  • Ability to collaborate and use platforms and tools utilized by multiple functions as well as ability to support internal and external cross-functional groups: product marketing, communications, social, digital.
  • Presentation and organizational skills.
  • Some experience in marketing communications.
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • The anticipated low and high end of the base pay range for this position is ($56,000-$84,000). Actual salary will be based on various factors, such as a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills and competencies, and proficiency for the role.
  • Experience working with DAB and Campaign Portland preferred
  • We officially returned to office in a hybrid work environment, working 3 days in office and 2 days remote.  The working location of this position is Los Angeles, CA.

  • 1-3 years’ industry and / or relevant work experience.
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Retail, Digital or a related field. Master Degree / MBA a plus.
  • Employees are eligible to earn an annual bonus based on both company and personal performance. Employees accrue prorated flexible time off in the amount .4388 hours per day that increases with years of service, eleven paid holidays throughout the calendar year and Service Time Off during milestone years.
