Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

Common Justice seeks a candidate with the following qualities, skills and experience:

At least 3 years of experience as a communications professional;

Previous campaign experience in a non-profit, labor union, or social justice setting;

Work with the Director of Communications to identify strategies that amplify Common Justice’s campaigns, direct service work, and policy initiatives;

Seeks opportunities to elevate Common Justice’s mission, campaigns and narrative shifting practices into the news cycle;

Works to develop communication materials; such as training guides, talking points, and reports that advance narrative goals

4+ years direct people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams).

6+ years people management experience.

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business

OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business

3 years of project management experience

Strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage competing priorities with minimal supervision
