Experience with Amazon EC2 cloud and S3 instances specifically in support of ESRI’s ArcGIS Enterprise Suite.

Prior management experience with two or more employees.

Complex database management skills preferred.

Lead and grow staffing and expertise to continue to diversify service offerings to clients.

Meet with internal and external clients to define data needs, project requirements, or required outputs.

Python programming or related programming experience a plus

Database administration responsibilities to include developing database schemas; performance tuning; user management; space management; database maintenance, and backup/recovery schedules

Principles, practices, and specialized methods for the use of GIS to perform automated mapping and facilities management

Technical certification in GIS, such as GISP® (Certified GIS Professional) or ESRI Technical Certification is desirable, but not required.

A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for up to one year of experience required.

Use GIS software to perform spatial analysis and display mapping information

Assist with migration, design, and maintenance of database systems

Proficiency with GIS desktop software (ArcGIS Pro 3.1+) and data management

Support training and skills transfer for other members of the GIS Team

Designs, implements, and manages geospatial data and databases.

Certified FAA Part 107 UAS (drone) pilot, or committed to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.

Obtains, compiles, and analyzes GIS data from a variety of sources, including DWGs, drone imagery, and field collection.

Conducts routine field audits to check accuracy of GIS data and updates databases with any returned discrepancies.

Authors Python programming scripts to aid in the automation of large geoprocessing tasks.

Assists in the planning, research, development, and preparation of projects, including web applications and geoprocessing scripts.

Apply knowledge of ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Portal to train and develop solutions for field staff;

3+ years of experience working with ESRI ArcGIS software and extensions; Ideally in utilities and/or municipal work;

Demonstrated experience working with ArcGIS 10.x and ArcGIS Pro including desktop extensions (Spatial Analyst, 3d Analyst, etc.);

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Access;

Proven organization and problem solving skills;

Must be able to formulate and clearly communicate ideas to others, including those who have only a basic knowledge of GIS;

Experience working in a fully remote workforce

Assist GIS Manager in designing, implementing, and making recommendations to further advance the use of GIS technology for City departments.

Assist GIS Manager with large City-wide projects that fall outside Public Services department.

Provide GIS technical assistance to all Public Service department divisions.

Provides guidance and assistance to GIS Technician within Public Services department in collecting and maintaining GIS data.

3 – 5 years of experience in GIS

Must have a thorough knowledge of the ArcGIS software suite

Knowledge of ArcGIS server a bonus

Knowledge of utility infrastructure and ArcGIS Utility Network preferred

Provide active QA support for satellite imagery by monitoring images as they are received.

Identify and flag potential issues found in the imagery.

Handle re-tasking processes for problematic images.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

Position type: 1 year contract plus extensions

using linear referencing in an ArcGIS versioned database.

Familiarity with linear referencing systems.

Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and ESRI software are an advantage.
