Job Description
The GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Analyst I is responsible for providing geospatial data support, ESRI ArcGIS software administration, and configuration management for ArcGIS enterprise geospatial tools and applications; in support specific projects in integrating GIS functionality.


Location: 100% remote (Atlanta, GA preferred)


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Ensures alignment of data with organization standards
  • Manage project timelines and report the status of tasks to supervisors to ensure task completion within established timeframes.
  • Assist Senior Analyst with test environment initiatives and GIS Enterprise Updates/Upgrades
  • Create, maintain, and update digital maps, drawings, plans, spreadsheets, data files, and documentation for a variety of uses.
  • Create customized tools and menus for new and existing applications.
  • Utilizes ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Online, Survey123, Business Analyst software or Community Analyst software – Daily tasks and Special requests.
  • Monitors and applies the best industry practices.
  • Delivers training and technical support to end-users.


Minimum Requirements


  • Years of Related Experience: 3 years experience in GIS career field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in GIS Analysis, Environmental Science, Geography, Surveying, Engineering or related field.

  • Proficiency with ArcGIS Web Applications.

  • Experience with ArcGIS editing tools, shapefiles, personal/file geodatabases, geodatabase topology and editing in a SDE multi-user database.

Preferred – In Addition To Minimum


  • Skill in producing quality graphic designs, infographics and other production level reports for presentation.
  • Experience working in a fully remote workforce
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations
  • Exposure to non-profit data and business processes


For work locations in the US, the salary range for this position is between $52,900 - $79,300 per year. The target hiring range for this position is $56,000 - $63,000.
