Senior Gis Analyst Jobs in Utah

Designs, implements, and manages geospatial data and databases.

Certified FAA Part 107 UAS (drone) pilot, or committed to obtain certification within 90 days of hire.

Obtains, compiles, and analyzes GIS data from a variety of sources, including DWGs, drone imagery, and field collection.

Conducts routine field audits to check accuracy of GIS data and updates databases with any returned discrepancies.

Authors Python programming scripts to aid in the automation of large geoprocessing tasks.

Assists in the planning, research, development, and preparation of projects, including web applications and geoprocessing scripts.

Demonstrated experience showing strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills paired with a desire to take initiative.

Work directly with clients and ICF subject matter experts to translate business needs into data analysis requirements.

5 years of experience performing complex GIS analysis involving infrastructure and/or multi-hazard datasets.

2 years of experience working with Esri’s suite of desktop and web GIS tools.

Knowledge of data, communities, and government agencies in Puerto Rico.

Understand concepts and applicable software tools and analytical methodologies for analyzing and visualizing all types of GIS and remote sensing data.

Collaborates with operations and business leaders to understand management objectives and to identify relevant data and metrics.

Sets parameters and requirements for data to be gathered; validates collected data through statistical testing and independent judgement.

Minimum 3 years prior directly related experience required.

Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to create and conduct simulation models, data reduction, and trend analysis.

Must have experience with GIS and complex modeling.

Must have experience with at least one of the following (QGIS/ARCGIS/Geopandas).

Experience with data management pertaining to the design of linear facilities such as pipelines, communication cable, etc.

US citizenship is required per contract requirements.

Strong Editing and Data Analyzing Skills

Experience working with Esri Geodatabases

Working knowledge of CAD programs and importing drawings into GIS.

Knowledge of cartographic procedures and practices.

Solid proficiency in ArcGIS. CAD experience is desired, but not required.

Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills

Experience with mapping and survey-grade GPS systems is a plus

Bachelors in related field or 2 - 5 years of experience is desired

Use GIS to support various missions on military installations throughout the United States and abroad

Utilize GPS and other tools to locate and map utilities and infrastructure
