WSP is currently initiating a search for a GIS Analyst in the East Bay region of the San Fransisco Bay Area. This will be a contract position supporting a key client in the utility industry, responsible for creating and delivering geospatial solutions, as part of a dynamic results-oriented team. Our successful candidate will have experience working with the Esri suite of products, Microsoft's Power Apps, and administering large datasets.

Your Impact

  • Perform QA/QC data tasks/checks on utilizing SQL queries and topologies to maintain spatial and tabular data quality
  • Create and maintain metrics dashboards and reports through ArcGIS Online and Power BI
  • Publish, configure and maintain web maps and web mapping applications in the ArcGIS Online environment
  • Maintain web maps for ArcGIS Field Maps, forms and surveys for ArcGIS Survey123, and projects for ArcGIS Workforce to meet the client’s needs
  • Evaluate and maintain scripts that automate conversion and maintenance procedures.
  • Create and maintain documentation of workflow processes
  • Meet with clients to gather workflow requirements, present products, and provide training
  • Maintain complex geographic datasets and perform updates and edits
  • Perform complex geospatial and/or data analysis as requested by clients

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with automating GIS workflows (Python scripting, Model Builder, etc.)
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct and adhere to
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, candidate must be to interface with customers to demonstrate the work product effectively
  • 1-3 years of experience with ArcGIS Pro/ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, and the suite of ESRI mobile applications (Field Maps, Survey123, Workforce)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Geography, Natural Resources or related field with applications to GIS is preferred, but a GIS certificate can be accepted
  • WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a related GIS field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft’s Power Apps (PowerBI, Powerautomate)
  • Ability to research and evaluate technologies applicable to GIS
  • Experience administering large datasets
  • Experience working with Esri software suite including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online

Compensation

Expected Salary: $54,700 - $75,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
