Manufacturing Purchasing Manager Jobs in Virginia

Required minimum of 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience. 

Prefer experience in manufacturing or health care industries.

Required proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Must possess solid management skills and expertise.

Strategic purchasing experience as it relates to supplier relations, sourcing and contract management.

Working knowledge/experience in electronics, machining, stamping or casting is a plus.

Identify / manage supplier constraints. Create and implement contingency plans.

Follow defined Supplier Qualification procedures for identifying and qualifying resources for new or existing material and service needs.

Performs daily job responsibilities with the utmost integrity and trust.

Manage logistics of inbound & outbound detail transfers

5+ years supervising experience in warehouse/parts environment

Salary: $100k - $115k (negotiable depending on experience)

Ensure CNC machines are being utilized and operating at highest standard

Mark off nests in EPM

Ensure quality of parts being cut & shipped

Strong knowledge of inventory and supply chain management

Analyze processes and propose lean management solutions to deduce discrepancies and increase efficiencies.

Bachelor’s degree in business management, Business Administration, or related field required;

Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.

Understand of Lean Management processes

Manage material control systems inclusive of vendor/material data, WIP costs, shipping/ receiving, and forecast/actual ordering data

Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and project management skills

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

2- or 4-year college education preferred, ideally in an engineering or technical field of study – or equivalent experience

Partner with the Quality Manager to drive a strong focus on product quality.

Strong leadership and people skills.

Restaurant management: 1 year (Required)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Previous experience in supply chain or procurement

2+ years of restaurant industry experience

Experience with COGS-Well, Plate IQ and/or Revel.

Flexible and able to work cross-functionally with other departments as needed.
