Vision for the Role

We’re looking for an Account Manager during an exciting and important moment of growth for the company to join our newly created Wholesale team. This role will be instrumental in expanding our wholesale presence, including building strong relationships with retail partners, managing account P&L and creating strong marketing programs by account.


The ideal candidate for the role is motivated by sales through exceptional service across all platforms. They are consumer centric and understand that the best way to provide exceptional service is to start with our internal team and external partners. The Account Manager is a visionary who is rigorous in creating and executing plans, measuring outcomes, and adjusting. This person will be central in building the sales plans and creating the roadmap to accomplish aggressive sales growth. They will also be a core contributor to our budget and business outcomes. The Account Manager will work closely with the Head of Sales and retailer teams.


You Will...

  • Partner with leadership to set overall account strategy, guiding category priorities, marketing campaigns, assortment, merchandising, sampling/sets/holiday, events and all other parts of the wholesale business
  • Review account P&Ls monthly/quarterly (prepared by finance) to understand effect of past recent resource allocations and to analyze outliers and apply learnings to other doors
  • Work closely with Trade Marketing and Sales Planning to decide on marketing, assortment, stock levels, sampling, sets, exclusives and gifts tailored to retailers’ customers
  • Own key P&L items for account and determine spend to maximize ROI and sales; held to seasonal targets (retail sales, net sales, demo, co-op, freelance, promo,sets, capex) and shape the execution of these items at the retailer
  • Ensure that right marketing activities (in store, co-op, digital/social, etc.) are in place
  • Review door profiles w/input from planning and the field and provide feedback to Marketing; working with Sales Planning to determine door level allocations
  • Negotiate seasonal stock & sales plans with input from Sales Planning
  • Ensure strong visual presence in store, in local market and on retailer.com (e.g.,pop-ups out-of-home ads, merchandising)
  • Negotiate overall demo (including freelance) investment with retailer and monitor productivity/effectiveness (e.g., hour utilization, open positions) monthly, communicating to field and setting total investment for field to allocate and execute by door
  • Develop full calendar of tailored activities for retailer and retailer.com, leveraging overall brand category and marketing objectives and ensuring correct coordination and resource allocation between B&M and .com


You Have...

  • Solid understanding of primary levers and components to a successful marketing campaign
  • Deep understanding of retailer and local market nuances
  • Strong relationship building skills; strong business acumen and financial ability (i.e., P&L management, main drivers of business, savvy with standard business analyses)
  • 7+ years of retail account management
