POSITION SUMMARY:

This engineering test automation and performance role is responsible for the frameworks and tools used for all product features, API, platform, quality, security, load/capacity and infrastructure testing. The objective is to promote and help provide methods and standards to:

• Provide standard tools and methods to measure and diagnose the Nymbus run-time environments
• Develop prescriptive small/medium/large/extra-large performance models and configurations
• Improve the overall quality, security and scalability of the Nymbus software

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operational guidelines for performance and scalability, including recommended configurations and settings
• Collaborate with the Engineering, Product, Devops and Operational teams for all things performance, stability and capacity
• Promote, help develop and implement:
• Automated scanning tools in the SDLC e.g., Sonarlint, Sonarqube, Veracode integrated with Jira focused on improving code quality, eliminating performance issues and security smells
• Work with the Engineering Manager to plan performance and stability initiatives and fixes into the Platform and Product roadmaps
• Advanced test automation and load testing frameworks for application features, responsive/device/OS, APIs and integrations
• Capacity models for production implementations - small/medium/large/extra-large

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux, OpenJDK, Redis, Kafka, Networking
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate across the Nymbus teams and Customers
• Deep knowledge of development frameworks, server and web technologies, AWS cloud and OpenShift Kubernetes environments
• Datadog, log management and analysis (Logz / Splunk), Container analysis tools
• A working knowledge of:
• Good understanding of performance modeling, tools and frameworks
• Strong technical, analytical and troubleshooting skills
• BlazeMeter, Selenium, BrowserStack, Junit, Postman, Testrail

GOALS AND DELIVERABLES

• Document and train the Product and Operations teams in the use of performance monitoring tools and analytics
• Assist the Devops team with the implementation and configuration of code quality scanning tools
• Advise the Test automation squad on best practice tools and techniques

• Assist the Product teams deliver baseline and release performance tests for OpenShift releases and Client implementations
