What You’ll Do:

The VP of Finance is an integral part of the Within Health leadership team. Working closely with the Co-Founder, this is an opportunity for an experienced “hands-on” finance leader to support the corporate finance function from the ground up. Ideal candidates match a deep understanding of healthcare revenue cycles with a command of startup/growth economics. At a high level, this person would manage FP&A, accounting/bookkeeping, and collections operations, bringing everything together through reporting dashboards and executive insights.

Experience in corporate finance matters & fundraising experience would be a major plus. Top candidates are strategic thinkers, have an owner’s mentality, are excited about working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, and have extensive experience in finance within healthcare, digital health &/or behavioral healthcare.

Essential Functions:

• Support executive team around decision making based on performance, trends, and identified opportunities
• Support/maintain adherence to regulatory finance requirements w/r/t flow of funds.
• Stand up the internal bookkeeping team (currently outsourced)
• Distilling KPI Framework for regular dashboard reporting
• Lift efficiency across collections, revenue recognition, reporting, and operations.
• Help pursue additional financing opportunities where appropriate
• Owns all our internal modeling and up-to-date performance reporting
• Corporate Finance / Fundraising
• Help manage the billing & collections teams to ensure best practices
• Support the executive team on IR & fundraising efforts, managing materials and supporting models.
• Analyze data to prepare concise and complete presentations
• Develop and recruit finance and accounting team talent as needed to achieve goals
• Manages all routine accounting, finance, and billing functions, including revenue recognition, accounts receivable/payable, collections, and financial reporting.
• Manages FP&A budgeting, forecasting, and strategy

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven financial acumen and ability to work within a complex financial structure
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• 5+ years of finance leadership experience with a proven background in scaling high-growth businesses
• Proven planning, preparation, and presentation skills, with established knowledge of reimbursement, health regulations, and bonus methodologies
• Ability to manage time autonomously and prioritize tasks efficiently
• A minimum of 10 years working in finance within a healthcare, digital health &/or behavioral healthcare setting
• Highly-organized performance and superb communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in finance and/or accounting
