The Vice President of Sonepar USA E-Mobility is responsible for developing and leading the organization’s EV Charging vision and strategy; build an organizational structure and competencies to support the growth of this segment.
Critical to the success of this role is guiding business development and active management of the procurement services for products sold within this segment. This cross-functional leadership role will collaborate across the organization, partner with key vendors to execute strategies, uncover strategic opportunities and deliver innovative solutions which will drive incremental revenue across a multiple-year strategy.
This role reports to the West Region President and collaborates with OpCo Presidents and commercial leaders responsible for EV Charging segments.
This is a fully remote opportunity with travel across the United States between 20-30%.
What You Will Do:
- Partner with OpCo leaders and Learning specialists to build an educational curriculum designed for EV Charging. Develop the EV Charging capability and knowledge across Sonepar Associates.
- In collaboration with the Digital Enterprise team, create a Sonepar USA performance Scorecard inclusive of sales, margin, inventory, A/R, and Direct Pay Logistics Solutions.
- Collaborate with Regional and OpCo Presidents and VP of National Accounts to create, drive, and execute market growth strategies and business development for EV Charging.
- Determine core competencies and build OpCo Solar and EV Charging teams, products, and services capabilities.
- Define and drive a centralized EV Charging purchasing strategy.
Build an organizational structure to support the business including:
- Indirect leadership for business development personnel at the OpCo level.
- Defining and managing Direct Pay Specialists and indirect alignment to centralized purchasing personnel.
What You Bring:
- Adaptable and agile in an ever-changing environment
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience focused on business development, sales, and procurement management within the Electrical Distribution industry, preferably a decentralized organizational structure
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with Internal/External customers, and vendor partners
- Advanced knowledge of EV Charging business segments from the perspective of suppliers, distributors, and customers
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in designing meaningful goals and KPIs to measure performance
- 5 + years of progressive advancement in renewables; EV Charging
- Strong understanding of business intelligence and operational tools, i.e., Power BI and Playbooks, to measure the performance of sales, vendors, and the business segments
- Demonstrated understanding of legislative and political landscapes and issues that may impact the business and wider industry
- Authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without employment sponsorship
- Ability to travel 20-30%
