Job Description
Summary Of Position


Responsible for leading all the people functions of this 110 employee organization in accordance with the policies and practices of NAA, the ethical and social consciences of business and society, and adherence to all government laws and regulations. Is responsible for the strategic human resource planning created by identifying necessary changes and initiatives, developing, and implement solutions. Provide the organization with the best talent available and to position the organization as the employer of choice by being aware of policies, practices and trends within the industry.


Principal Accountabilities


Human Resources


  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration, ensuring that compensation and benefits are benchmarked to market standards.
  • Employ data driven techniques, awareness of market trends, and technical solutions to determine critical needs, identify unique opportunities for people and culture development, and automate HR systems.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and employees, understanding the business/people needs and developing and executing HR strategies and programming to support them.
  • Manage employee relations cases from initial advice through to completion.
  • Manage the budget and other financial measures of the Human Resource department.
  • Ensure administrative record keeping and employment practices are compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • As part of the senior leadership team will develop a comprehensive strategic roadmap to building the human resource function to support the company's growth.
  • In collaboration with the senior team and Business Excellence AVP, lead organizational change management initiatives and support leaders with building and executing communication plans associated with the change.
  • Promote a fair, safe and healthy work environment.
  • Provide advice and counsel around employee relations issues, compensation planning, as well as performance management including feedback, coaching and goal setting.


Learning and Development


  • Develop and execute a learning and development program tailored to our organization and staff.
  • Create ongoing employee development opportunities for employees and managers through training, programming, performance management, coaching, career path definition, competencies, etc.
  • Directly manager the internal manager of training and development.
  • Lead our talent development programs including management of our talent review processes, employee retention programs, staff coaching and individual development planning, and related programs.
  • Develop and implement effective approaches to leadership development, succession planning and technical training that ensures long term success of our business enterprise.
  • Evaluate the Human Resource team structure for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness. Also for providing individuals with professional and personal growth opportunities and delivering exemplary customer services to our internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned including participates on special projects.


Talent Acquisition


  • Partner with the recruiting lead and the marketing team on Employer Branding efforts.
  • Directly manage the internal recruiting manager.
  • Collaborate with company leaders, internal / external recruiters and COO to develop and iterate hiring and org plans based on the evolving business needs.


Office Administration & Culture


  • Ensure NAA’s core values are incorporated into all hiring, retention, and people decision-making.
  • Oversight of safety protocols for the office
  • Ensure the Gallup Employee Engagement Survey is executed and communicated to staff annually.
  • General office management: award walls, appliance, plumbing, lighting, furniture, systems, mail administration
  • Supervise the office administrator position
  • Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiation
  • Maintain positive office culture by developing and executing annual goals to positively impact culture and the specifics needs of the organization.
  • Actively promote the organization’s efforts to encourage diversity, equity and inclusion and foster a participatory environment that assumes employee accountability for quality, cost reduction, innovation and success.
