Human Resources Specialist Jobs

Summary:
This is a full-time HR position with emphasis on recruitment, employee engagement and retention.
Purpose:
Support business operations to profitably provide the highest quality senior companion care services; function as senior advisor to management on all human resources issues; ensure Touching Hearts is an Employer of Choice.
Primary responsibilities:

• Partnering with management on employee relations issues
• Developing and implementing practices that increase employee engagement and retention.
• Assist with other office duties such as answering phones, obtaining office supplies, filling in as a care partner, coordinating schedules for clients, etc.
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned which might include on-call as needed.
• Organize and implement our Safety Committee
• Talent acquisition and development - recruiting, screening, hiring, and onboarding qualified personnel for the organization.
• Payroll (ADP)
• Organize employee activities such as recognition opportunities and social events.
• Oversee employee training and development programs, such as Pre-Employment Training (orientations) and mandatory training sessions.
• Tracking and reporting key HR metrics

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with key Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Associate degree required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least 1-3 years HR experience which demonstrates, among other things, extensive knowledge, and proficiency in attracting and retaining high quality candidates using a wide range of traditional and nontraditional recruitment tools and strategies. Direct care worker or human service recruiting experience is ideal, but not required.
• Desire to serve the older adult community.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Reports to: Executive Director
