The VP, Healthcare Carrier Partnerships will report to the Head of Healthcare Partnerships and Business Development and require strong influencing skills, as well as a deep industry network to establish and expand our relationships with leading health plans.
The Team
The HSA business is a high-growth business within the Fidelity Healthcare Group. We help our clients address the mounting concern of the rising healthcare costs by providing a Health Savings Account solution that helps cover the near-term healthcare needs as well as to save for future medical expenses, including those in retirement.
The Expertise You Have
- Series 7 and 63 license, or ability to obtain upon joining
- Experience in implementing change including completely new processes
- Experience developing new channel relationship functions and translating into plans and processes to achieve sales and maximize business opportunities
- 10+ years recent experience in the Health Savings/Reimbursement Accounts and Benefits Administration industry in a B2B capacity
- Experience establishing and growing networks from scratch
- Established contacts with health insurance carriers and other healthcare ecosystem contacts are key, benefits consultants and brokers are a plus
- Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree a plus
- Desire to travel 25-50% of the time
- 7+ years of proven success in sales/business development, relationship management cultivating intermediary channels and ability to build working networks of contacts

- Ability to understand and analyze information and data from internal and external sources to plan effectively to ensure sales objectives are met
- Understanding of a sophisticated intermediary channel relationship management process
- Handle multiple and changing priorities in a fluid, fast paced start-up environment effectively and in a highly professional and timely manner
- You bring strong interpersonal, influencing, relationship building and negotiating skills
- You are highly motivated, aligned and committed to the business’ success
- You can routinely switch between the executive audience to rolling up your sleeves and build the processes ground up
- Strong leadership style that encourages partnership and openness within your teams
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and desire to work independently with little supervision
The Value You Deliver
- Coordinate across Sales, Product, Marketing, Client Services and Operations to communicate intermediary needs and expectations and go to market.
- Build productive and professional relationships with key leaders within target firms and maintain high awareness/understanding that results in a consultative dialog
- Proactively connect with health plans to share updates, get their feedback on our offering, and understand their requirements in detail. Understanding the needs/wants of carrier product and general management leadership is critical.
- Work closely with Business Operations, Sales Support, Channel Management, Operations for continual improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of intermediary processes, systems and tools
- Define and execute a business development plan to prioritize, target, and establish lead generating partnerships with health plans and related potential partners.
- Manage potential channel conflict with other firm sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through adherence to applicable channel rules of engagement
