Job Description

Overview

The VP, Global Partner Strategy & Programs is responsible for defining and leading strategic initiatives to drive growth and optimize partnerships across the organization's global ecosystem. This position reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and leads the global partner channel and strategic alliances teams while working closely with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and external partners to create and implement effective strategies, programs, and initiatives to enhance partner relationships, drive revenue growth, expand the partner ecosystem, and increase market awareness in targeted markets and segments.

What you will be doing

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement: Stay current with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and drive innovation in partner strategies and programs. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of partner initiatives and programs, analyze data and metrics, and implement improvements to optimize results and drive partner satisfaction.
  • Create strategic vision and collaborate with executive management to define and ensure success of strategy in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Develop and implement the global partner strategy: Define the strategic direction of the organization's partner ecosystem, aligning it with the overall business goals and objectives. Lead the development and execution of comprehensive global partner strategies to optimize partner relationships, drive revenue growth, and enhance market positioning.
  • Create and manage partner programs: Design, develop, and implement innovative partner programs and initiatives to drive partner engagement, enablement, and loyalty. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and manage partner programs, including partner recruitment, onboarding, training, enablement, and support. Develop and implement partner performance measurement and tracking mechanisms to ensure program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy
  • Orchestrates the budgeting process, including strategy, allocation, and reconciliation
  • Oversee the development of future leaders and assist in identifying leadership potential within the team that aligns with the people strategy
  • Act as a strategic influencer to internal and external peers, industry groups, and/or customers
  • Serve as the final escalation point for highest priority issues; provide direction and guidance to assist with resolution of issues
  • Expand the partner ecosystem: Identify, recruit, and enable strategic partners and alliances to impact Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth and market awareness in targeted markets and segments. Proactively seek out and evaluate potential partners, negotiate agreements, and establish mutually beneficial partnerships that drive business growth and increase market share.
  • Provide managerial direction and oversee all aspects of performance management for direct reports. Measure and hold all direct reports accountable for meeting defined goals and operational standards; ensure management teams are defining and holding teams accountable for all aspects of performance management of direct reports
  • Oversee and hold management accountable for all Human Resources-related managerial functions and responsibilities associated with hiring, compensation management, employment relations, and termination of employees. Approve and ensure the overall hiring aligns to department budget and forecast
  • Foster partner relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including technology partners, strategic alliances, and channel partners. Collaborate with partners to co-develop joint solutions, create marketing programs, and execute go-to-market strategies. Provide ongoing support and enablement to partners to ensure their success in driving revenue growth and market awareness.

  • Based on individual states’ employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements: base salary range of $210,000-$303,000 and eligible for bonus and benefits
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving revenue growth and business impact.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of technology industry trends, partner ecosystems, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in partner strategy, alliances, channel management, or related roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decisions and measure program effectiveness.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and guide a high-performing team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful partner strategies and programs in a global context.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
