MD Ally is a 9-1-1 Telehealth solution that enables greater connectivity between public health & safety and the broader healthcare ecosystem. Our solutions allow dispatchers and first responders to transfer non-emergency callers from 911 to virtual care instead of dispatching valuable, emergency resources.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Head of Healthcare Operations is responsible for leading and managing the healthcare operations of MD Ally. The ideal candidate will have experience working in startups, navigating challenging situations, building and executing healthcare strategy, and leading teams. The role requires someone who can adjust to ever-changing demands, is dynamic in their thinking, and can lead and inspire a team. The Head of Healthcare Operations will work closely with the leadership team to ensure that the company's overall strategy and its healthcare operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with the company's mission. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, with specific success in the areas of payor contracting, RCM, and clinical operations.
Responsibilities:
- Work in collaboration with leadership to plan for critical growth of the company, including management of clinical vendors/partners
- Mentor and develop team members to build a strong and effective team
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase revenue
- Design and lead implementation of the company’s healthcare operations strategy, including patient care delivery, billing operations, payor relations, and provider staffing and relations
- In collaboration with the company’s medical director(s), ensure clinical workflows and operations are best-in-industry
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Oversee all staffing projections and plan to maximize availability while minimizing excess cost
- Ensure there is cross-functional alignment between the healthcare operations teams and other teams on critical goals and objectives across the organization
- Ensure MD Ally achieves its revenue targets
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the company's healthcare division, including managing people and processes
- Establish and maintain operational metrics to measure the effectiveness of the company's healthcare operations
- Ensure MD Ally is achieving an optimum contracting approach with payors
- Oversee clinical quality assurance initiatives and clinical compliance certifications
Qualifications:
- Experience with value-based care frameworks; telehealth billing; emergency billing; digital health; and virtual care; all preferred
- Ability to deliver high-level communications / presentations / data analysis
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver outcomes on time and within budget
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, business administration, or related field required; Master's degree preferred
- Proven track record of leading and managing teams, with experience in startups preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse staff and patient/family population to lead a patient-centered culture
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to healthcare operations
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare operations, with experience in payor relations and billing required
