Vice President Of Manufacturing And Operations

Overview:

As the VP of Manufacturing and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our manufacturing, supply chain, and operational strategies. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient manufacturing of our Lidar products. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and contributing to the achievement of our company's goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing and operations. Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
• Establish and manage relationships with suppliers and partners to ensure a robust and reliable supply chain. Monitor supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and mitigate risks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of components.
• Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency. Implement lean manufacturing principles and other operational methodologies to optimize processes.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, research and development, sales, and marketing, to ensure alignment of production goals with overall company objectives.
• Provide strong leadership to the manufacturing and operations teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Implement quality control processes and standards to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality lidar products. Establish metrics, monitor product quality, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements relevant to manufacturing and operations activities.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive manufacturing strategy that aligns with the company's vision and growth objectives. Drive the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, focusing on quality, efficiency, and scalability.
• Lead the manufacturing teams to achieve production targets while maintaining the highest quality standards. Implement best practices for production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Qualifications:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across functions and with external partners.
• Deep understanding of supply chain management, quality assurance, and production processes.
• Familiarity with lidar technology and related industries is a plus.
• Proven track record of at least 10 years in manufacturing and operations leadership roles, with a strong background in technology or hardware-based companies.
• Experience in scaling manufacturing operations and implementing lean methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to motivate teams and drive results in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
